3rd International Conference on ASEAN-India Cultural and Civilisational Links: The two-day event, organized by ASEAN-India Centre at RIS and Vietnam Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies (VIISAS) at Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), was held on 7-8 October 2021 and was supported under ASEAN-India Fund.

The Keynote Address was made by Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Hon’ble MOS (MEA) in the inaugural session. Vice Foreign Minister of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung also made his special remarks. Shri Pranay Verma (Ambassador of India to Vietnam), Mr. Pham Sanh Chau (Ambassador of Vietnam to India) and Mr. Tran Duc Binh, Dy. Secretary General (DSG) for ASEAN Community and Corporate Affairs, ASEAN Secretariat also made their respective remarks.

During the Special Session on Cultural Cooperation Special Remarks were made by Shri Jayant N. Khobragade (Ambassador of India to ASEAN) and Mr. Kung Phoak, Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), ASEAN Secretariat.

Valedictory session was addressed by Ms. Riva Ganguly Das, Secretary (East) and Ms. Pen Moni Makara, SOMCA Chair, Secretary of State and SOMCA Chair, Cambodia.

Besides these sessions, the event had five sessions on various subjects like Contemporary Cultural Interactions and Diversity, Culture and Digitalisation, Culture and Tourism, Education and Youth and Shared Heritage. Large number of researchers, academic and domain experts from India and ASEAN Member States participated in the event.
